Waiting is a beautiful thing, if you know the craft.
Like, you can’t wait between morning and twilight, you have to wait between twilight and dawn.
There’s no way you can wait being hopelessly sober…
The nights pass through the drunk tunnels…you get to do that,
Someone chasing your car and you have broken the catastrophic brake.
And one more thing, it’s never too late to start waiting.
if you know the craft
That was perfect. Enjoyed reading this. Bravo.

The first line had me! and then you delivered the rest. Sort of an ambiguous paranormal feel to it.

It’s a red light, it’s a green light.
I’m waiting. No! You have to go.
I don’t have nothing at all.
We are waiting, yes aren’t we all?

Beautiful. Such an artful way to speak about waiting. Reminded of Annie Dillard:
“You don’t run down the present, pursue it with baited hooks and nets. You wait for it, empty handed, and you are filled…
Not only does something come to you if you wait, but it pours over you like a waterfall, like a tidal wave. You wait in all naturalness without expectation or hope, emptied, translucent, and that which comes rocks and topples you; it will shear, loose, launch, winnow, grind.”

Wondrous poetry. I find waiting is a natural by-product of aging for me.. Thanks for visiting my blog and following.

There is nothing you can do to hasten or forestall the sunset.
Sip your tea, and wait.
Seek peace,

I will seek peace when we don’t have to beg for it. Rage…rage. Anyway thank you.
